unfortunately i've never listened her in any program tv (i'm too joung, i think!!), so i can't say if this is her real voice, even because somebody said that it wasn't so (read some comments before mine).
but i admit i nearly cried when i listened it for the firts time! what a beautiful voice!^_^

Betty Buckley played Grizabella in the Broadway production, which opened about a year later after it first opened in London. Elaine Page was in the original London production, and played Grizabella in the movie. Judi Dench was supposed to play the part in London, but got injured so Page stepped in.

This song was played at my mothers funeral. It was her favorite song and she loved the musical. I saw it when I was a kid (in london - Drury Lane.
I have many good memories of being with Mum, but one of the best was that chilly winters evening in 1979 when she took me to watch this fantastic musical. Take the mickey if you like, But I want the world to know that I miss her so much and this song reminds me of her smile and the happy times. Lo
