get the early version for now, as it is more realistic than this one...
But , in my knowledge, it gets a 70% ish in realism

uhuh so like what would it be comparable to is it Lock On Realistic, ok but not amazing, or Falcon 4.0 realistic, as in the military would use it for training?

a bit less than Lock-on, and a bit higher than Wings over Vietnam/Europe/Israel.
I dont believe anyone would use it as training, but there plans and mods currently in production for EEAH/EECH that does increase the realism considerably, and plans for full clickable cockpit on the Hind. check w w w. simhq. com

kl i gotta say clickable cockpit really makes a game quite often i will certainly look into it. But im not sure as DCS Black Shark is coming out and that looks to be a study project, very extensive lol bit geeky of me haha but can't help lovingthis kinda stuff just like getting to learnt he air craft.

to twll u the truth, a good dynamic campaing does wonders to a simulator. I'm looking for the Black Shark as well... but no matter how arcade or realistic a simulator is, a dynamic campaign will make the simulator live for a VERY long time, proof of this are the EECH and Falcon.
If I were u, i would buy it, and enjoy flying around, but personally I prefer the earlier versions for gameplay value, but if u can give up gameplay for a bit of graphics, go for the EECH2

I have the 3 versions in my pc EEAH/EECH and EECH2, and I have flown more the EEAH/EECH and I must say it is really fun busting terrorist asses with your apache!
Even if its just a stop gap solution until the study sim Black Shark comes along. ps: Avoid at all costs Whirlwind over Vietnam, this is a sorry ass excuse of a simulator.

HAHA thanks for the advice i will certainly look into it quite seriously and it must be quite cheap by now lol. Funn you should say about whirldwind over nam lol i played a game today called dog fights (its free lol so good for free but my god was it a poor game i was coming top of the leader boards on the server having only instaled hte game 30 minutes before) anyway there was this lad on hteir trying to tell me taht a game called crimson sky was the most realistic combat simulator ever.

Whirlwind is .. without a doubt one of the most broken simulators I've ever played! and there r only a few missions, no nothing! I was very disappointed, it looked so promising!
Crimson Skies is an Arcade combat simulator, quite good, enough for a quick flight here and there, or between hours, or when you dont have time for something more complex but still wants to fly, it is pretty much like Hawx that is coming from Ubisoft.
