What do you expect with a client that runs in 3D. Your going to experience lots of problems but it has nothing to do with a virus...IVU is safe from that. So yeah your going to experience lag when running imvu and thats because of all the 3D mechinisms and bandwith usage

That, its like an added "Bonus...I use to work for IMVU and have been a member of IMVU since the day they started in 2004, I know the ups and down. The lag is the constant pdating, bandwith, 3D mechs, and how much crap you store on your computer...I suggest not haveing more than one chat window up (sumtimes you can get away wth 2 but it increases the lag and your deseptible to crashes), not have any hard ware running such as a webcam or any other messenger (messengers is minor lag against imvu)

IMVU isn't really like the sims. You move around with 'nodes' rather than making your avatar move. You make the clothes you wear, skins, hair, tattoos, everything. Sims allows for more room for error and play. IMVU is a chat client disguised as a 'dress up your avatar' thing. I know; i play sims and use imvu. XD
