Umm I am not Jewish, just a person interested in history. Iraq sent 60,000 troops to assist the Syrians in the battle. Israel gained more land than it lost in the 1973 war against Egypt. It also gained land in the Golan Heights against Syria. google: "Yom_Kippur_War_map" and click the first link

Actually no. The Syrians were preparing a counterattack on the Israelis when the cease fire stopped hostilities. By the way the war ended in 1973, Egypt only had the Sinai returned nearly 6 years later in return for recognizing Israel.

5-Egypt got back sinai to the last inch .
