| all you people suck, all of the guitarist everyone's ever mentioned in this forum suck balls, nearly all guitarists in the world suck cuase they think they are the shit and we make them out to be. Most of them are horrible musicians it use to be about the music and its feeling now is all about who can play a boring scale run in 32nd notes or who can do a 6 string sweep pick the fastest. Is really pointless. |

| I've been researching sweep picking demos on YouTube and I think it's so ironic that Herman Li's sweeping demo is so much sloppier. Comparatively, Mark Tremonti's sweeping is MUCH cleaner. Neither one of them explains well, but it takes a special kind of person to be able to take a craft and put it into laymans terms, and most guitarists arent the best at that. Conclusion: Herman Li=OK [I've heard better sitting in Guitar Center], Mark Tremonti=better. |

| Gilbert doesn't use sweeps in his playing at all though; according to him, this is a silly-sounding technique and I have to agree. This is my favorite sweep because it sounds somewhat original instead of being a bastardized version of classical music like most others. At any rate, the "best" in anything is completely subjective and music is meant to be enjoyed, not argued over. |

| omg could the players please turn off all effects like they should when educating? The proper and only way to learn is to play without effects and with no distortion sometimes even. Tremonti did a Michael angel batio by bathing his singnal in thick chourus and delay. |
