thank you Dave for bringing this socialist to task. unfortunately more Americans are accepting the lies of the socialists. Everything we enjoy in our lives, we owe to capitalism. I don't follow. What do you mean? American Heritage dictionary defines "slanted" as: "To present so as to conform to a particular bias or appeal to a certain audience: The story was slanted in favor of the strikers." Why is that "not cool"? The guy is a biased journalist and should be called out on it, as Dave has.

this is not a disagreement as a liberal would hear it. its a CORRECTION to an out right ingnorant report on the tax deductions to universities which implied the government is supporting college athletics.
Dave is right - that the Liberal-left in this country is getting the United States more and more ready for a socialistic/communistic gvt.
little by little were loosing our freedoms and rights. they're just using different words like 'sharing' and tax fairness' to do it.

Dave really doesnt understand tax law. Yang wasnt referring to donations from individuals or tax deductions that individual taxpayers get. He was referring to revenue generated by collegiate athletics that is untaxed, a multi-billion dollar industry. If it was taxed, tax revenue would increase across the board. If more tax revenue is generated, then every individual taxpayer could have our individual tax burdens decreased. Dont be an idiot. Have a mind of your own and read something.

I'm not a socialist, I believe in the free market. However, we shouldn't have special tax breaks for those who donate money to charity. It just makes the government more inefficient. Dave is wrong to pounce on this. We need a flat tax, no tax breaks with very low rates. Dave misses the picture that giving tax breaks for charitable donations is the actual socialism.
