Aid is finally getting through to some of the areas at the heart of the fighting over South Ossetia between Russia and Georgia, including the Geoirgian city of Gori.
But as Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher reports, there are still plenty of Russian soldiers around.

| I don't see evidence of Gori having been 'carpet bombed' as for militia, I'm more than sure that they were Georgian militia, because why would Ossetian militia hide in Georgian hillsides/mountains, in the surrounding area? wouldn't they just fuck off back to Ossetia? |

| Propaganda and lies come in two forms: commission and *OMISSION*. AJ seems to be presenting a disproportionate number of stories and interviewees sympathetic to the Georgian side, and omitting much-warranted criticism of the Georgian attack that started it all. |

| I watch them too but I imagine a reporter in a war torn area facing a deadline will interview whoever will talk to them and I don't know how much responsibility you can put on that reporter to wander around a war zone looking for balance in their interviewees. |
