one of the things i have always loved about tori is the overwellming look of compassion and love that resonates from her eyes. she seems to see right to the soul. and i can see hers. too often we let this exterior shell blind us from important things. if only the world could understand the real meaning of unconditional love. this video makes me cry everytime. the african american woman is beautful. who is she? she looks familiar.

I love this song and most of Tori's music, but IMO the video just did not capture the serenity and solemnity of the lyrics. This would have been a perfect video for the song "Riot Proof" from the same Venus and Back CD. For "1000 Oceans", I would have preferred something along the lines of an oceanic backdrop, similar to the song "China" from her Little Earthquakes CD. Not trying to nitpick, but just a thought.

for anyone who loves or even likes this song, check out this school who sings it, its so great! look up ps22 (as in public school 22) and these 5th graders sing this exact song
