"And for the TRUTH!!! JIMI DID NOT DIE FROM A DRUG OVERDOSE...HIS MANAGER HAD HIM HELD DOWN AND THEY DROWNED HIM IN RED WINE BY FORCING IT DOWN HIS THROAT!!! HE WAS MURDERED!!! FUCKIN MUDERER!!! RIP JIMI for we LOVE YOU!!!! "
some one gave this person like 4 thumbs down when this in all actuallity there was much evidence from a bandana tied TIGHTLY around his neck when they found him - and the fact that red wine poured from his lungs + stomach yet none was in the bloodstream.

it was his manager directly who did it, although its said he had many CIA and government underworld connections as well as the fact he constantly tried to intimidate jimi and work him into insanity (memphis one night, detroit the next, austin the next) and saying "give him the drugs/woman" it will keep him distracted and tired and unable to be rational. when he got word of jimis death he was wouted as saying "I KNEW THAT SON OF A BITCH WOULD PULL A QUICKIE ON ME" - he HATED jimi and thats a fact

Spellcheck :it was NOT his manager who directly did it -
he more than likely hired some thugs to do it. theres a video on YOUTUBE that talks about it. Study this Shit. Theres A LOT OF EVIDENCE.

his manager is said to have rescued jimi when jimi was kidnapped and kept tied up in a warehouse for DAYS before jeffrys somehow learned where jimi was and sent some rhoadies to bust him out - jimi was always greatful to mike for saving him - but who put him there in the first place????

Whose recording is this?... My friend was in the audience that night at Ronnie Scotts. He recorded the performance on his cassette recorder and played it for me on September 17, 1970. The day after that, Jimi was gone. The recording never appeared on bootleg, youtube or any anywhere else until years later, after my friend distributed copies to friends et al. I believe it's the same recording. My friend's name is Bill Baker. Credit where credit's due.

According to some the guys in War, their manager Jerry Goldstein actually recorded the show as well. We're not sure who the source for this tape is, but we're glad to be able to hear it. Like I said elsewhere on this thread, it boggles the mind to imagine what Jimi could have done with a fully fleshed out band like WAR, a group whose imagination was as great as his.

Thank you Odawg96 for the info. You're right that it's great we all got to hear Jimi's last performance. HOWEVER... my suggestion that Bill Baker was responsible for the actual recording came before I read back through the past comments on this board. By a miracle of coincidence, Bill Baker and reel2reelbill are one and the same. After reviewing Bill's posts and comparing the copy Bill gave me years ago, IT IS the same recording no question about it. You still rock Bill... all these years later.

It has indeed now been revealed that Jimi's lungs contained "massive amounts"of red wine, yet there was very little in his blood stream. Clear evidence of murder.
This tragic fact also poses questions about the deaths of other significant artists who died under mysterious circumstances. Did Jim Morrison really drown in his own bathtub or did somebody "help" him? Who did it? Why?
