Please rate the video if you like it. Thank you. The only aim of making this video was attaching remastered 5.1 sound to standard PJ video. As the first final "reach out and touch faith" happens about 20 seconds later than in video version I had to add some shots from Violator EPK. Also the albu

Now that is funny. I doubt that Duff even knows how to write a song. If I am not mistaken this was written by Martin L. Gore of Depeche Mode (he does almost all the writing for them...not all...but most). At the time there were 4 people in the group. This is off the "Violator" album. This song was released back in 1989, thus actually making it and 80's song.

According to songwriter(!!) Martin Gore: "It's a song about being a Jesus for somebody else, someone to give you hope and care. It's about how Elvis was her man and her mentor and how often that happens in love relationships; how everybody's heart is like a god in some way, and that's not a very balanced view of someone, is it?" And as others stated was realesed in 1989 (not 90) when she (Duff) was 2.
