Make sure width and height are divisible by 2. Use fraps or taksi for games, don't be a retard and try to screencapture a dvd. For more info search "camstudio faq" on google. Also try ffdshow tryouts. If it says error using default compressor make the width and height divisible by two of your rec

No, but that's in my opinion. :P The unregistered hypercam is free, but there's that annoying sign in the top-right corner of your video that says "Unregestered Hypercam" which personally I didn't like. You CAN get rid of the sign but it'll cost you. It's easy to use, but I think camstudio is better. :)

I'm having a problem with CamStudio. Can someone assist me? I try to record for a long time (about 1 hour or 2 non-stop), but when I finally click STOP & type a name for the file & click SAVE, I get a message saying "Unable to open video". Why is this happening? It's like I can't record anything for a long time. If I record something short (a few minutes) then everything works fine; I can save the video clip and then watch it.
Can someome explain how to record something for 1-2 hours?

man all you need to do is when you gonna save the video replace all the name, in the case appearce this: *.avi you have to erase that and put the name you want and that's all, thats what happen to me

replace the *.avi with whatever you want the name of the video as with .avi at the end, don't open it with cam studio open it with realplayer, for some reason my videos won't open with Camstudio but will open with realplayer, hope that helped

Hey, I have a problem with camstudio. When i record audio from speakers. My voice sounds really scratchy and it's really anoying if you don't know what i'm talking about check my latest vid. Anyway how do I fix cause I want to have a clear mic sound and still record the gamesounds I asked it to so many youtubers but no one answers. So I really hope some of you answer I'd appreciate it and I will then you in my gratitude section when my game vid is over

I put all my setting like your, but I'm getting error. "Wave in Error," and "Audio Buffers still in queue," and "error recording AVI file using current compressor. Use default compressor?" What should I do?

make sure your aduio is OFF then try dont record from anything.select do not record aduio.if u allready did that i cant help
