running the bass anywhere above 6 with the gain cranked tends to make the tone flubby. But thanks for the advice though! And thanks for the compliment!

Bass any higher than 8 o'clock with high gain would sound extremely flubby.
And NO MIDS on the rotary knob = FAIL
