I noticed with alot of Brithday Party songs that they have very memorable basslines and that credit has to be given to the late Tracy Pew. Very underrated bass player. You have to listen to King Ink and 6 Inch Gold Blade. Great basslines in those. This band was so ahead of their time. Imagine hearing this back in the early 80's? It's still disturbing even today.

I don't see how people can listen to this and go "This is utter shit", it's almost blasphemous! I think that the more you listen to it, the more you realize how well everything is put together. Sure, it's complete madness but it is in fact very intricate. It's hard not to appreciate it for that "organized chaos" quality. And as far as comparing The Birthday Party to The Horrors, all I can say to that is, GROW UP.
