Still love this band as much as when I first heard them in 84. Saw them a dozen or more times in the Barras - every gig was life affirming. And on the subject of Icelandic jumpers, my ma used to knit them for me and my brother, she always made the necks too tight and I can still recall the sore ears taking them off and her telling me that they would "slacken off". She is dead now and so is Stuart .....
Happy memories of both.

similar to a U2 video............No, it's just got snow in it too, so has George Michael's video, last Christmas, I wouldn't say that video was similar either. However, look at the U2 album cover for their greatest hits up to 2000, that is almost the same as the Big Country album cover of the Buffalo Skinners (great album by the way, buy it on amazon, best album no one has heard of ever!!) released in the early nineties).

I see your comparison but all of Big Country's videos were outside running around. "I feel the winter too"..Stuart Adamson I miss you ,the anniversary of his death is Dec. 18th. This band was always spoken of in the same breath as U2, but if you listened to them back in the eighties, they held a special place aside from U2 for many us. I played this ep into the ground!

big country are awsome.seen them life twice last year without stu and they still kick ass.they have a new cd oot recorded earlier this year that can be bought on their website.
bruce watson is also still playing live gigs,i seen him play last week in dunfermilne and he is really good
