The Final Cut is the best Floyd cd/album brilliantly political & the reason Waters realised he was the voice/spokesman/lyrical genius and that the others where simply mere hold backs listen to Radio KAOS esp"the tide is turning" it could easily be mistaken for a Floyd c/d cos Waters was Pink Floyd's attitude an political ambassador.
Simply put the rest where expendable but no Waters = no Floyd,
If you want soft comfortable music go listen to pompeii The Final Cut must be to Cutting for you.

I have to laugh at some idiot saying the final cut was soft.I think you will find the final cut & the Wall took ppl to uncomfortable

Most under-rated album of all time-right here ladies and gentlemen. The lyrics are sharp and precise, and the music as well. Floyd brought back the saxophone that fans had likely missed during the Wall.(also a brilliant album) I'd recomend this cd to anyone who is artistic, and doesn't have attention defecit disorder like 95% of my generation has!

Roger deserves a Pulitzer for his lyrical genius. Any "Floyd Fan" needs to sit down and listen to this album and absorb the sheer brilliance of The Final Cut... and get off the "DSOTM" bandwagon. Gah, I cannot even speak the wonders of this man. Roger Waters is pure and simply amazing.

I concur that this is one of the most magnificent pieces of work every made. The Final Cut as an album - from the lyrics
"Kids committing Suicide" - "The Blade in Trembling hands" - to "The Human Race is Run" Simply a magnificent illustration of life in war time and what we can, and should, do to avoid it. But not NOW John . . . Southampton Dock is very moving for me as well. Thanks for Existing Roger.

well, I dont think that it's easy to describe a song because everyone has a different opinion. I mean someone might like one song that one other might hate but I don't think that anyone can disagree but the final cut is one of these songs that when you here them you.. feel strange.

Ive owned every album made by PF and Rogers solo work and this is by far my favorite of PF's. I didnt read all the comments but if you like the final cut I highly recommend the Pros and cons of hitchhiking. Its a little bit of a different sound for him but I liked it a lot. Sound quality was a little rough on this clip. Very happy to see so much of Rogers stuff on youtube. Get my fix all in one place.
