It really puts things into perspective when you compare many religions together, doesn't it? I've noticed school doesn't get too stressful until about 3/4ths a way through when all the assignments catch up to you, and you have finals to look forward to

Good to hear your first week went well - for me, thats always been the most stressful - that and the week before finals. I've been lazy this week, but I'm only taking one course this semester, so I guess I'm still in good shape. I haven't taken a comparative religion course yet - I bet its interesting to see how they all compare. Which course do you like best?

2nd week of school (university) and still stressful i guess if i pass calculus that will be the hardest course i will ever take the rest is a piece of pie.

Yeah, exactly. :) The midterms and the finals are the worst. Sometimes I'm so stressed, I'm not sure half the stuff I study will stick to my brain. But, a lot of the time I surprise myself.

I think you're right about comparing religions together and putting them into perspective. It wasn't until I read a lot about Buddhism and Egyptian culture and some of the other eastern religions that I saw how common a theme reincarnation was in quite a few of them. The difference in belief systems in the eastern and western religions are interesting. How some of them believe in living many lives and others believing they only live one.

So far I can't say for sure. Since my logic course was canceled due to some university holiday on Thursday I haven't got the chance to see how that course is like yet. I don't know what they even needed the holiday for. I guess Labor day isn't enough of a break for some people. From the textbook, I think I will enjoy the logic class because it's more of a critical thinking class rather than a mathematics course, but I can't say I like one course over another yet.

That tends to be the way it goes. The first week is always getting used to a new routine and the last week is always getting stressed before writing finals. What's worse about the last week of class is I get stressed so much I'm amazed if half the stuff I study sticks to my brain. :P

Thanks, Hollie. :) Yeah, I think I'll do alright, just as long as I don' get too stressed out. Sometimes if I do get too stressed out, it can cause my mind to draw a blank and that's not good at all. I'll be sure to update if I learn anything interesting. It's off to a slow start so far, though.

Thanks, freetaught. That's encouraging. :) I'll be sure to discuss more on the subject in the future. Especially if my subscribers would find the subject interesting. I would not want to bore anyone. I'm sure religious studies will be good for some intellectual discussions, though. I'll keep everyone updated as I learn more as the weeks go along. :)
