Bette was the fourth person to sing this song. Because of the movie it became a huge hit. Sheena Easton was the first, never released as a single. Glady's knight sang it. And Gary Morris did a wonderful version. I have also seen MANY performers sing it live much better, including Lola Falana and Susan Anton. If you love this song check out all the wonderful versions!
