Billy McLaughlin along with Stanley Jordan were progably the first guitarist I heard that were really doing things with alternate guitar tuning. Yeah they're great. If you like Billy I think you'll also like Don Ross too. He does some very interesting things also. Thanks for this post.

The first time I listend to this song, I thought, this song is incredible, why in the hell have I not heard of this before and why havent so many others.
And another thing I thought was, anyone that likes ANY type of music will look to this song and find beauty.
And to top it off this man plays guitar like a god.

It's a slap harmonic. You slap (lightly) and hit on the frets where harmonics (nodes) are located and it rings at a higher frequency. By the way, are you tabbing this or something?
