How did you get the 8mm transferred? Pretty good... no flicker, keystone, etc.
Wasn't the gag of the motorcycle in the trench lifted from another movie?? (Maybe another Universal film, like W. C. Fields?)

We do a video frame by frame capture straight to computer. I'm afraid I don't know much about the film itself. But I do believe this was part of the full featured movie Abbott and Costello Meet the Keystone Kops, however I am not sure.

"Wasn't the gag of the motorcycle in the trench lifted from another movie?? (Maybe another Universal film, like W. C. Fields?)" That was A&C's "In Society" (1944) which lifted footage from Fields' "Never give a sucker an even break (1941); this clip is from A&C meet the Keystone Kops (1955)

Castle Films [United World Films, Inc.] did a "land office" business selling excerpts from Bud & Lou's movies to "home movie" audiences on 16mm and 8mm formats (including those released with sound), from the '40s right through the late '70s. Yes, '8mm', this was, as the title stated, excerpts from "Abbott & Costello Meet the Keystone Kops", their next-to-last Universal feature.

This is actually footage from the 1955 film, Bud Abbott & Lou Costello Meet The Keystone Kops. That film is pretty good, especially the full version of this chase scene.
