Is anyone really surprised by any of this? The whole Iraq war, from day one, was just a cynical plot intended for nothing else than making money for Cheney and his ilk, it's been obvious for years now, but the so-called "anti-Republican" "mainstream" media seems to be scared to report on it with any vigor. Bush may or may not have known about it from the start, but either way he should have been impeached years ago. How the American people put up with his lying, evil regime is just beyond me.

How do you inspect something that you weren't allowed to see.. Saddam did not permit inspectors in his country to look for WMD's... Thats the whole reason we got to the point of invasion. Countless UN resolutions were violated. At what point does our hand get forced to act? AFTER another 9/11? I for one feel a lot safer without Saddam around possibly giving WMD's to our enemies. One thing we have to remember is that even in times of extreme sensationalism, such as 9/11, we have to criticize and scrutinize every piece of information that the government spoon feeds us. Unless we know for an absolute fact that a statement is true, we should not act upon the assumption that it is true. Acting in this way, as we have in Iraq leads to crisis worse than 9/11.
