I don't think Ric was too jealous when he was cashing those big pay checks. It's not all about looks. You gotta be able to talk the people into the building, and you gotta climb into the ring and get it done.
That's why Ric Flair is Ric Flair, and Ricky Morton is Ricky Morton.

Flair understood the business like few in wrestling. He knew that putting people over boosted HIS image as well as that of the other wrestler he was pushing into the limelight. And he put butts in seats. Whether people came to see him win or lose, they turned out in droves!

Flair put Sting on the map at the first clash, with out him he would've been nothing more than a big muscled kid, Flair gave him credibility. Magnum never would've gotten over like he did without Flair. Flair was the perfect heel for Magnum to go against. Ricky Morton doesn't even deserve to be
in the ring with Ric. Flair made Morton more money than Morton ever made himself.

Flair is the man. Ricky was a great tag team wrestler, but Flair put him on the map as a singles wrestler like he did Nikita Koloff, Magnum TA, Sting, Lex Luger, etc.

Ricky was a popular tag team wrestler - which is really all that matters, the RnR drew money; but - where do the RnR rank amongst the best tag teams of all time? IMO they're beneath the Midnights on talent and they were never as over as the Road Warriors (MX and Warriors being their direct peers regarding fed and time period). They weren't as talented as the Hart Foundation or British Bulldogs. But, I'll freely admit they were popular and quite beloved, just seems like they didn't age well.
