i never deny that hk is a city and a part of china. but why should we(hongkong, a city) have always give way to china(a country)'s interest?
my opinion is that if there is an interest or political conflict between HK & china,i would stand on HK's side and support HK cuz im firstly HKese, then chinese, and im askin' HKese to firstly support HK, then china.

i regard myself as both chinese and hkonese if i was a hongkonger local, not separated. like how los angeles ppl are americans there really isnt anything to argue here. the only thing is the effect of identity problems due to history

let me add hong kong has a 50 year sovereignty after 1997 meaning they can keep their identity, this includes in olympic games, statistics, and of course an entity

Hong Kong is a city and it was part of China. British took over it for 100 years and return it to China in 1997. During those 100 years, people from China and Hong Kong could not cross the border unless you wanted to go through some procedures. I was young and was at school at that time, this is what I understand so far. Now of course Hong Kong is part of China, no doubt. I am speaking for myself now, I am happy to be part of CHINA

I wish China & HK good luck. I considered myself Chinese though I am not living in China nor HK.I missed Hong Kong, I like this video. I wish China will grow steadily and people from the lower level should share the fruit of success not just a small group of people. God bless China and HK.

if considered by the principle of european languages, Cantonese and Mandarin are indeed linguistically different enough to be separate languages . And cantonese is in someways more powerful and influential than mandarin, some chinglish origining from cantonese gets more attention. and for many years, cantonese pop, art and culture is more inflential and representative internationally. even today, hong kong culture is still the prototype and leader of chinese world.

Hong Kong Cantonese is the main origin of Chinglish!
and HK is the most representative point of east meeting west, tradition mixing modern.
