| First listened to this song about 17 years ago, just married, still great, love it more and more as the years go by. Friend who lent me the video, died shortly afterwards. This song makes my life simply savage. |

| no he didn't write the song "freedom", if you've ever heard "motherless child". which is an old folk song that has been sung many times by many different people. Sweetwater,the 1st BAND to perform at Woodstock performed this song. And yes he was ad libbing. The audience wanted an encore, but he had already sang his full set and didn't have any more songs to sing. So He just played this song and went with the flow. |
