idk why some ppl are so naive. the vast majority of the audience (by accounts) was on strong owsley acid, and it's obvious the boys are at the very least on it as well. its still a fine version, just goes to show their fortitude.

I love this song/album but the Rock n roll circus version is 100times better. Most likely because of the better amps and gear that they couldn't bring to Monteray :(

Had they not or barely played this in while, because they make a lot of mistakes and don't seem to know what the others are going to do, like The Who usually did. Its still a good performance even with the mistakes.

Yeah, that was for the "Don't Get Fooled Again" cut that made the "Kids Are Alright" film. And sadly, Keith suckered and a studio drummer had to go over Keith's tracks in post production.

Yeah, but by that point Keith was beyond all hope. Such a real shame, and I've always thought that from the very early seventies onwards it all sort of went downhill for him, and, by extension, the band. The drink, the drugs, the general excess... Such a wasted talent...
