| Doesn't have to be happy to sing along to, really. It's got a catchy beat and the words are easy to remember, so it's easy to sing along with. This song just makes for a much more morbid sing-a-long. |

| at the same time, it probably wasn't the highest priority of the fans to make a good youtube video. the decemberists obvioulsy are encouraging the sing along or the lead singer wouldn't have gone out to the crowd like that. they probably think it's pretty cool that everybody knows the words and want to sing along |
