The theatrical (and DVD) version of the film omits the tornado and Moscow Red Square sequences but does include them as deleted scenes in workprint form with unfinished special effects and temp music. Taken from a UK TV version of the film, here is the full battle containing those scenes with fin
ished effects and Alexander Courage's fantastic score.

Its kinda like how General Zod was given telekinesis in Superman II...not to mention Nuclear Man being able to shoot explosive bolts out of his magic Lee Press-On Nails and command missile launchers autonomously. What a lazy, sloppy film this was. The flying scenes were poorly lit and match so badly with the background plates that sometimes they look like cardboard cutouts. To quote Reeve from his autobiography: "The less said about Superman IV, the better."

Oh man, you said it there. No, she's not scared that her entire family has just run off to their storm shelter and forgotten about her. She's not petrified that a giant tornado is ripping her house to shreds while she's still inside it. No, she's standing completely still, in front of an OPEN window, going "ur-hur-hur-urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr". Oh boy, slating all the things wrong with this sequence is going to take some time.

"First..........I have fun" is now probably my favourite movie line of all time, specifically because of it's overwhelming naffness. And considering the mid-80's pornstar look of the actor playing Nuclear Man, he might as well have said "I've come to fix your PLUMMMMMMMBING".
