I see your point of view. It's this kind of attitude that everyone holds, and look where it's leading us.
The dog had a life. It may not have been an important one but it was a life nonetheless. I understand that there is a war going on there, and I probably do take the fact that people are dying every day for granted. But when faced with an unjust killing like that, staring at me in the face; I couldn't help but feel something.

OK, so you felt something for the dog. I can accept that. What I have a harder time accepting is the vitriol the some people people pour out at the US or American troops in general because of the fact a Marine killed an animal. Yes, the dog had a life...but so does a cow or a chicken or the other animals we eat. At the end of the day, they're both animals and killing one isn't any worse than killing the other.
