It's because she was supposed to record them the next day. They had just laid down the music tracks and she was to come in the following morning to record the vocals for the Pearl album. I read they left it instrumental because of the situation. What are your thoughts? Peace, to you my friend.

Ok, so how many of you are glued to the screen and rocking back and forth with Janis through the whole song? At 3:40,I am so into it, my mouth's agape and my daughter says, uh mom, give it a rest. It's amazing I am completely consumed by her and this performance. RIP Janis.
