I live down town Auckland New Zealand. A German guitarist plays his songs well in alocal pub. he also has about 10 guitars. I asked him about Mark and he said Mark does the opposit to others thats why he is so successfull. I did not know what he meant.

I wish he could do an exact version of what's at the end of the movie. Absolutely some of the most haunting, and magnificent, music I have ever heard. Bloody marvelous. That being said, I bought this dvd for the most part because of this song. My favorite movie ever and my favorite song.

Exquisite, awe inspiring, -------------' fill in the blanks with the superlative of your choice, not enough of them exist to properly do Mark Knopfler's talent justice! And yes "Local Hero" was wonderful, but whoever decided to let Mark Knopfler do the score was and still is a bleeding genius! Platoon99 once again thanks for the upload, thanks You Tube for the available cyber space, and of course, God save the aforementioned M.K. and of course: ROCK ON SINDIGGERS!
