Ron Dressler, of the nonprofit BWC, www.BWCny.org, attempts to bring the entire City of NY in mid June 2009 to the city's sidewalks and streets to simultaneously sing one song, This Land Is Your Land, at 7:00pm in one gigantic SONG BLAST. Ron leads an audience in a 2007 preview of the song. The intro & titles refer to the 2007 Great NYC Sing. Please share & spread the word so millions take part!

Actually, it is the Land of Bush Cheney, just as it is the land of Kerry & Gore & Edwards.
But those on the left have been showing their deep rooted intolerance, and would like to expel all who have alternate points of view.

Very nicely done.
Several artists do this song too slowly in an attempt to make in more poignant. It is the contrast between the lyrics of some verses with the bouncy positive melody that really expresses the irony.

Perhaps you would like to join the effort in making the 2nd annual Great NYC Metro Sing a success. I would very much like folks from the entire political, social, religious, philosophical, cultural and ethnic spectrum (spectra?).

This is very nice I agree but I can't believe he leaves out TWO crucial versus that make this song what it is. Without these two versus the point of the song is completely different! Woody Guthrie is probably rolling in his grave.

Since this is a City-Wide sing-along and I added a verse about NYC singing together, I felt I had reached the maximum number of verses in terms of the song dynamics. The radio station also had time constraints. I do believe the spirit of the song remains true - and I think Woody would understand and be quite pleased.

Wow, that's really good. This is a real patriot. Respect him greatly. I would love to hear this sang at the mall in DC in front of the Lincoln memorial with it packed full of Americans. This has to be the most special place and the most special song not to be forgotten.
