Star Wars - X-Wing - Gameplay

Video Description:
Playing a "bonus" mission from X-Wing (1993).
You will see differences between X-Wing and later games like Tie-Fighter. There is no 3D model in your targeting computer and also when you target an enemy it only glows red for a short time. This made it a "little" difficult for me to find gunboats to kill. This is from the "Collectors Edition"
with digital voices. I had to quit right at that point, youtube´s 11 minute limit ... ya know.

X-Wing Alliance upgrade plus the TIE fighter port will do, and I'll just manually recreate the X-Wing missions with a third party editor :p

Darth...you miss the point- I was one of the FOUNDERS of TG, yes the company is still in business but only Larry Holland remains working there form the X-Wing/TIE Fighter team.

Oh, wow! I love this game. This is what the Star Wars games should be like. I don't like the new ones with odd and new characters. It's all about the classic ships! A-Wing! yeahhh, gotta love it. I guess the only way to play this game now is to find a download :S

OMG - I just found my copy from 1993... floppy disks and all... had completely forgot about it. And a fine game it was, good memories! (except I almost entirely had to play without sound since my sound card wouldn't comply)

omg even now just watching the vid i find myself doing my scan of the cockpit and automatically checking the message bar when R2 warbles at you LMAO have to be careful though when fireing so close to the back of the transports, they have a habit of taking you out if they go the wrong way when they expload lol

Wow I so remember playing the hell outta of this game when I was 8 or 9. I wish they would do a remake of this game =( Oh btw If I recall correctly, if you re balance your shields more often it wouldn't take so long to regen your shields like it was and you could put more power to your engines :P
