In the last two years, government forces have been implicated in: * Hundreds of extrajudicial killings, including of humanitarian workers * Hundreds of enforced disappearances * Arbitrary arrests and long-term detentions without indictment or trial * Widespread torture of detainees * Forcibly returning internally displaced persons to unsafe areas * Restrictions on media and threats to journalists * Complicity with the recruitment of child soldiers by Karuna militia

I am not saying this I got this from the Human Rights Watches website. Just because someone talks bad about the Government of Sri Lanka doesn't make them an LTTE supporter. Grow up. Just google "Say no to Sri Lanka". There is a reason why U.N. Members decided not elect Sri Lanka to the Human Rights Council because of these gross human rights violations.

According to latest report from UN workers in Sri Lanka, the government sponsored and supported the violence of Karuna -Tamils.
At least they have condoned the violence because there has been no criminal proceedings against these groups. If the state terrorism of Taliban-Afganistan and Serbia were stopped, then why not the same should happen with Sri Lanka? If Sri Lanka is a democracy then why does it have a minority w

Thats because of ugly campaign carried out by LTTE supporters close to UN. Recently they send bombs and batteries to LTTE in UN supply trucks and was caught by SL forces. We are fighting most intense campaign against terrorism. If we compare implied HR violation and intensity, situation is 100 better than Iraq, Afgenisthan ,Nagaland of India and 88/89 period Sri Lanka. UN did nothing against Ranils UNP govn at that time.

the sri lanka problem will never be solved because the citizens there are too simple-minded to see that their leaders enjoy unflinching support from the blind masses. The Sri Lankan government enjoys blind support from the Sinhala and the LTTE enjoys blind support from the Tamils. Both sides of the conflict have valid claims yet the route of violence by the government or LTTE will not solve anything.
