| You gotta fly below about 50 feet to avoid being detected by Radar, that or you have to have a seriousely bad ass jet that can fly high enough nothing can touch you.. Otherwise it's dogfight time.. |

| Of course you didn't hear them silly, they were flying in super-sonic; they beat their own sound to your house! The F-16 is an amazing work of art, although there are much better choices for planes to fly at ~10' above ground... F.Y.I., for the most part, these planes were about 30' above the ground, about the height of a 2-story house. |

| I hardly think that they flew supersonic, they don't even do that below FL100 on scramble, and ICAO standards says not to cross Mach 1 below FL370 (or a similar height, not completely sure). Although, when a plane flies in 400-500kt (the F-16 has its best turn-ratio between 330 and 440kt, so they fly arround 450-500 when not doing the most narrow turns) which is the most used low-level speed for fighters, you cant hear them before they are like 100 meters away..
