The "Pink" from the wall is imaginary, but some say that "Pink" is actually Roger Waters. andrewdahlin's "And which one was pink?" question was perfect, because it both points out that there was no "Pink" and references "Have a Cigar" which has a line joking about people who THINK they know Floyd, "...by the way, which one's pink?"

Great album but such a shame the way he pushed the rest of the band away while making it. It could have been even better with their fair input. Roger Waters, like the others and Syd , is a genuis. Too bad he let his control issues guide his musical decisions.

I agree with MozzerRocks-- its too bad that problems with the band members could never be fixed - were now almost 3 decades out and all we have have is a bit of LIVE 8-- What a shame, all that possible creativity gone down the drain. I'm pretty sure this song is about the end of 'The Wall'. When you hear that gun shot the lyrics hidden are "I'll tell you what's behind the wall", they wanted to put a gunshot on it so they could differentiate this album from the wall. Waters wanted this to be a continuation of 'The Wall' but Gilmour and others wanted to have this be a different album. I also think Waters is a fantastic song writer, but later on in his life he just.... Forgot how to sing or something.

BTW: I personally think that Roger Water became quite an egoistic douchebag around the production of "The Wall". I mean the guy became convinced that he was "The Pink Floyd" and fired Richard Wright just because he wanted vacation. I do however still belive that he had great artistic talent.

Amazing Solo! Great Lyrics! Some may dislike Roger Waters for his control issues but he is one of the few "Artists" that actually deserve to have an ego. Plus no one can deny that his singing just has that emotional rawness to it that is hard to find...
