LOL! Only 320hp! Evo's with the 4g63 were available with that much power in 2002! Plus only 300 of these shitheaps were made, due to fears of the EJ20 not being able to withstand the power. EJ20's with the stock 280hp have already had a high failure rate.

Anyhoo do u research, Boxer's are known for excellent durability, much better durability than the 4G hence why WRX's and STI's can 200kk's and run as brand new. You said the 400hp Evo requires a lot of servicing. So you think the 400hp STI doesn't?
Boxer engines suffer from uneven oil distribution in the heads. The highest mileage 4G63 has more miles on it than the highest mileage EJ20. 4G63's can rev to 10,000rpm and pump out 1100hp, no EJ20 can do that.

i love how people think horsepower matters. HP is what lets you do 200 mph. torque is what matters. most WRC rally cars are only 320-350 HP but are around 500 ftlbs of torque. that car is probably an absolute monster to drive, regardless how nasty the paint job is :)

JDM-spec STi's use the 2.0L variant, thus why it rev's to 8000RPM and not 7500 like USDM STIs.
