I like the music ... ( 1 year ago by meatcannon)
I like the music industry it knows how to manipulateEVERYTHING,government/radio/tv/internet. I love the music industry cause i make a lot of money "myself" off the artists and public by buying the stocks that run the democratic country. I rather them play childrens music its faster cash for me.
who gave her a mic? ... ( 1 year ago by blacklightltd)
who gave her a mic? girl you haven't got a strong source of information and hard facts ur just saying things we heard a million times tell us with depth like graphs with facts and record sales comparisons because far as i know old bands still sell out concerts, you wana know about the industry ask people at sony and warner why they market certain artists not asking a guy on the street

the two dudes at ... ( 1 year ago by ketogenesis)
the two dudes at the end are on the money, i'd agree with everybody else - anybody can make great music just they dont have access to The Marketing Machine, and it's just another profession but a good one if you can live off it, even if you cant make any money its STILL good. a good diet, exercise, and a tan and you could be the next "mega star"
the thing is that ... ( 1 year ago by ketogenesis)
the thing is that there are so many fat people out there [me included pretty much] when somebody sees somebody on tv who's in shape they automatically think "greatness!" and their song could be complete fabrication and marketing hype and nobody would know

thats a good list, ... ( 10 months ago by luisthedude)
thats a good list, lol, can't deny that, except i don't like GNR, i listen to music from 40 years ago, pink floyd, zeppelin, the velvet underground, hendrix, alittle beatles, or not that long ago, nirvana, AIC, pearl jam, bowie, NIN, tool, and soundgarden. the industry shows us that profit is a poison to musicians and their strive for creativity.
Music has become a ... ( 10 months ago by nomorepropaganda)
Music has become a corporatist tool to make money. They have to release more music at a faster pace because it is for the most part crap, people get sick of it faster so their need for new music is insatiable. It's marketing genius, not creative musical genius.
music today is ... ( 9 months ago by UnionMetalhead)
music today is totally risible for the most part. Again I think it relates to ur video about nyc trends, people dont really follow up music and backtrack and try to discover other styles of music out there, plus we're forced to listen to all this flip flop, soo called rnb, and dance/house music. I feel that music began to be destroyed when chicago house music became to formulate&the media began to pick up on it - now hip hop is mixed in with it - i think it got worse!
is there more ... ( 9 months ago by UnionMetalhead)
is there more talent today than there were 20years ago? let's investigate, 20years ago would be like february 1988. We had taja serville, belinda carlisle, alexander o neil was good, even guns n roses till they go overplayed, saxon, alice cooper, metallica, megadeth, iron maiden, judas priest, accept, warlock/doro, van halen (well maybe they were 24-30yrs ago), europe, vixen, britny fox, testament, madonna was good back then, t'pau, do u remember nik kershaw? simple minds, survivor?
reo speedwagon, ... ( 9 months ago by UnionMetalhead)
reo speedwagon, ozzy osbourne, scorpions, then u can backtrack even more to the bands like sabbath, toto, rainbow, ronnie james dio, then there were the synthesized sound that came into sound in the very start of the 80's, music 20-30years ago was very interesting, refreshing, fun, people actually picked up their instruments and knew how to play guitar, learned how to play scales and used good solos. Pop music 20years ago i considered to be good still too. Today nothing is original,it all sounds
the same, all that ... ( 9 months ago by UnionMetalhead)
the same, all that hip hop/soo called rnb beat or just typical hard house and dance music! there to me isnt no originality or heart n soul put into the music in my opinion. Im a fan of rock music though and 80s pop music and some of the 70's rock music and metal. Ur more than welcome to rant and say what i like is shit if u like but I do feel like there is more heart&soul put into what i like - thats my honest opinion though. It is all about marketing&image nowadays. Mind u 80's was alittle over
over image-fied ... ( 9 months ago by UnionMetalhead)
over image-fied with the leather, spandex look and the hair but i love the leather and long hair look, but i werent soo much into the big hair like poison and not really motley crue anymore either but i am a fan of early skid row stuff. I feel like too many people though again are just looking for trends to follow and market. Alot of it isnt about the ability to actually play music.

Non rock, metal and punk gernes have been taken over by MTV and all it money. My bands make music because of how it sounds. Most Metal,Punk and Rock bands REFUSE to release singles because most of the money goes to the Record Producer and MTV and not the band.
most metal, rock ... ( 2 weeks ago by BazzTheBoss)
most metal, rock and punk bands? the all sell-out massively. metal, not so much, but metallica is definetly screwed. and so many rock bands that i was a fan of have changed their music for the money :( RHCP for example.
