its not even fair to compair this, i mean for god sake its 20 years between them, nicholson is a better actor so if he would have been in heaths age now and done the part now with all the effects and make up they have now he would have done atleast as good im sure of that, i mean just look at the shining about the same roll and nicholson is fantastic in that 1=), but heath is ofc really jolly good to hehe..

I think both brought their own characteristics to the character. So, to be honest, you cannot really choose between the two. Either way, I thought Heath's portrayal of the Joker was just mind-blowing - completely amazing. Jack's, as well, was more the comical side, but never the less great. RIP Heath.

Heath was definitely more sinister and cruel...it was an awesome job on his part. It was one of those times that it was almost impossible to make an impact on the original character yet he pulled it off.... I know I sure was like whhhat when I first heard he was playing the joker but then I saw the trailer and was like holy fuck. It is prolly one of my fav characters in a movie. Heath showed his amazing acting talent in this.

Well, i would say Heath. He is more dark and crazy. He had a good voice for him and his makeup was crazy. Plus the licking thing he does when he talks is cool. Jack is to comical for the role, and had the wrong voice to fit him. Though the smile was better for Jack.
