This is the first video I have made. I took several videos and pictures and put them together with a song by 30 Seconds to Mars. The Windows Movie Maker started acting up on me so I wasn't able to fine tune the last parts of the video quite the way I wanted, but I was still pleased with the outcome. Comments welcome!

after the accident soviet helicopter pilots essentially flew suicide missions over the reactor and dropped a neutron absorbing powder in an attempt to cool the molten reactor, dowse the fires, and reduce the radiation leaking into the environment. i believe that is what you see falling into the reactor. you can make out a helicopter if you look closely when it starts to fall. all the men that flew the helicopters were dead in a matter of days or weeks after the accident. they were heroes.

i agree with you, and some of those that time people say that US didnt even wanna help in first place but then when they heard that USA is in danger then they tried to help, but Soviet government did not hide the facts that was all new to them and they did not know how large the damage could be so back off yanks who think that ur always right cz soviets are the ones who did work there.

i hope they understand how they may have saved millions across europe. regardless of the differences the usa has with had with the soviet union , those men are considered heroes on both sides and should be remembered . its just such a shame that people can only find common ground out of tragedy. will we ever wake up? i for one still have faith in humanity.
