How ever you put it ... ( 1 month ago by TheRiemannIntegral)
How ever you put it, how ever long you put it, that doesn't change the fact that the Bible preaches slavery and death to gays. The killings are optional(Anyway it is your god's word.), since Christianity is about forgiving sins. But SLAVERY was a most important part of Christian Europe -- from Rome to the USA. I have shown the proof that every word from the OT should be followed perfectly. You have failed to give proper proof and have resorted to red herring: asked me to read something.
You have ... ( 1 month ago by TheRiemannIntegral)
You have misunderstood the nature of Jesus. He is God. He is the son of God. Therefore, he is the son of himself. The father, the son and the Holy Spirit are all one and the same. So Jesus came to planet Earth to correct the mistakes he himself (in the form of Yahweh) once made in the Old Testament. What a dummy!

I'm not sure what you are arguing for. Why are you bringing up that slavery was practiced? It was also abolished by devout Christians. What's your point? We are not discussing what Christians have done, we are discussing Christian principles. If you are willing to claim that Christianity in general believes slavery is right, feel free to make that statement, but recognize how foolish it is to make an ignorant statement like that.

Show me where in the Scriptures slavery is declared as something good. Show me. Show me where the evil things preached in the Qur'an are preached as good things in the Bible. Show me.
With all due ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
With all due respect, I am not going to learn Christian theology from a deceitful person as yourself. The Trinity consists of three distinct persons, all who are God. God is not a Person. The Son is a Person, the Father is a Person, and the Spirit is a Person. God is a description of these three persons. They all have the attributes that fit under the definition of the Godhead.
Christ, who exists ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
Christ, who exists as God, is the Son of the Father, who also exists as God, from whom proceeds the Spirit, who is also God. Since they are all God (Immutable and Unchangeable), they are all united in one Divine essence and nature. Christ never corrected the mistakes. He fulfilled something that itself was awaiting fulfillment. The Righteousness of the Lord Jesus was found in the Old Testament, but it was not fully revealed until He became fully incarnated and physically revealed to man.
God is a person in ... ( 1 month ago by TheRiemannIntegral)
God is a person in the Christian tradition. It you didn't know that, you are not a Christian. The gospels consist of fairy tales -- one of which also claim that Jesus was totally Human -- similar to the ones found in Egyptian, Hindu, and other scriptures. You need learn when you gotta learn, and not argue like a kid.

"However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way." Leviticus 25:44-46

(Continuation) And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11
When a man sells ... ( 1 month ago by TheRiemannIntegral)
When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her.
"When a man strikes ... ( 1 month ago by TheRiemannIntegral)
"When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property." Exodus 21:20-21
You've made a grave ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
You've made a grave error in Christian theology which tells me why you can't make correct judgments on the matter at all. God is not A person. God is tripersonal. That is, there are three persons who are God. Because they are all God, they are all united under one Godhead, one essence, and one nature. So you can't say that Christ is the Son of Himself. Christ is the Son of the Father, (one of the three persons of the Trinity), who is also God.
You demonstrate a ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
You demonstrate a real poverty of understanding in theology. Don't assume things you are not absolutely sure about, because you only make a fool of yourself and stumble over those who really believe and know the theology. You should be ashamed of yourself, to have made a simple error like this one. The belief that the story of Christ was taken from pagan myths, has been widely abandoned in the New Testament Critics since the nineteenth century.
No one seriously ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
No one seriously espouses that view historically anymore. Simply because two stories bear some kind of resemblance does not mean that they were copied, that is an incredibly silly assumption. The Jews were completely opposed to any pagan myths in the first century, and they would have naturally found them abhorrent.
Rather know that ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
Rather know that the coming of the Infinite and Omnipotent God to humanity itself, where the Divine, the lofty, the Transcendent, lowers itself to the status of the truth-seeking humans, is a desire found in every singly spiritual belief system. It all matters on which has the true claim.
Notice here that ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
Notice here that God doesn't condone, but allows slavery. There is a huge difference. Remember the true sins are really spiritual ones, we can't tell what the real vices are by the. Sex might be a sign of infidelity, and at the same time it might be as sign of just the opposite.
Killing might be a ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
Killing might be a sign of hatred when it is ruthless murder, but it might be even act of bravery, when a soldier helps defeat the Nazis from their invasions and oppression (of the Jews), to save those who are helpless and innocent. It is the mind that determines what is sin and not: our intentions. If I purchase a slave in a way where no harm, hatred, but love, compassion, peace, gentleness, and kindness are shown, I am not so sure it is any longer a sin. We condemn slavery for its oppression.
Having said that, ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
Having said that, God permitted the Jews to purchase slaves from the countries they invaded, by the Lord Jesus Christ did away with mere permitting. God permitted polygamy in the Old Testament, but never condoned it. He allowed people to murder each other (as He still does in this day), He allowed many different things. But His commandments never changed. Christ came to do away with simply allowing things when grace was not yet revealed, to when it had been revealed in Christ.
When Christ came ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
When Christ came with grace, He revealed the True inner and Spiritual Law, free from any kind of mere allowing of things.
Remember all these ... ( 1 month ago by marephrem)
Remember all these were local rules of ancient Judaic Law. It is a law code that may be adopted as any other law code of any time, like that of the Sumerians, or of the Babylonians etc. For a Christian, it has no real spiritual resemblance any longer, except that it was fulfilled in Christ Jesus.
Certain elements of ... ( 1 month ago by TheRiemannIntegral)
Certain elements of the Christian tradition have been adopted from the Roman mystery religions, especially Mithraism. The book "A Brief History of the Western World" contains more details on that topic. And you are a pathetic psychopath for saying that slavery is not a sin. So vile are your thoughts that you are no different from the Nazis of the American south who tortured so many African-Americans.
Christianity is a ... ( 1 month ago by TheRiemannIntegral)
Christianity is a monotheistic religion which treats God as a person, who makes decisions, punishes sins ,etc. I have spoken too many concerned people to be even close to making an error. You are the deluded fool who is yet to accept his lack of grasp of the fundamentals of the Christian faith. And you yourself have said that slavery is permitted (there is no need to condone it). I think you are too dumb to know that you are dumb. It was a total waste of time talking with a deluded fool.
It is your religion ... ( 1 month ago by TheRiemannIntegral)
It is your religion, along with Islam, that has caused so much suffering and death in this world -- from ancient Roman times till the 21st century (Iraq). So many people have been killed for not believing in Jesus; millions enslaved and killed by Christians and Jews, who never felt the need to justify the faith they were raised in. Now having said it yourself -- that slavery is permitted in Christianity -- I wish there will be another Stalin, who will wipe out all Nazis like you. Good day
