One of the finest and best made films in history. Steve McQueen died in a Cd. Juarez,Chihuahua clinic run by a world renowned specialist known for his saving qualities. When Mr. McQueen was admitted he was so desparate for a cure to save himself, he was operated on only to find his entire thoraic cavity riddled with cancer. He died that evening with his last meal-a glass of crushed ice. His memory will live among us for all time. Thank you Mr. McQueen for your gift to the Arts and Humanities.

Yes, this is one of the finest & best made films in history. I saw it at the picture show when it first came out & have seen it many times since then. Another Great Steve McQueen film is "Nevada Smith" with Karl Maulden & Suzanne Pleshette. Have you seen this film. It's a Great Western Adventure Drama.

a remake is underworks and they're talking about robert downey jr and philip semour hoffman to take over the roles, why mess with a classic. can they honestly make a remake out of such a masterpiece? can anyone duplicate what mr. mcqueen did in this movie?
