The A600 uses a 68000 16 BIT processor the same as the MEGADRIVE/GENESIS, and the A1200 a 68020 which was 32 BIT, both machines were very simlar to the MEGADRIVE/GENESIS in terms of the games, it had a great sound chip called Agnus to, if I remember correctly.

Technically the 68000 was a 32bit cpu but only had a 16bit data bus.
There is a big difference between the A1200 and megadrive (in terms of games), we didnt really get to see the full potential of a stock A1200. The sound chip "Paula" (from 1985) is great, it had taken around 7 years for something to match it (Gravis Ultrasound). Agnus was a DMA contoller and als
o housed the Copper and Blitter. There is another chip "Denise", from memory I think it controlled video modes and sprites.

Another World is great! It's availible for PC now too, which allows you to have smoother graphics, higher color depth and more colorfull backgrounds. You can also play it with good old Amiga graphics. It's availible for purchase from the original designer, a true genius. I love Another World! Nitro was fun and challenging too. Amiga games were so well made, pure gaming!
