I wish they didn't edit this performance. There is a big section they cut which is irritating, it just cuts to Janis singing the chorus again. The unedited recording of Ball and Chain at Monterey is over 8 minutes long.

First time I saw this clip was at the Powell Theatre in SF in 1974 stoned on LSD, It blew me away...I became an instant fan...this outfit...the movements...the I dont give a shit attitude are still vivid today in my mind as it was then...i have never seen anyhting that honest since

Wow, she is just incredible. Been a long time since I heard her voice now, and at about the 4:30 mark I shed some tears. I will always remember this lady, she's just amazing. Peace.
