tpyical prog rock trademark crap from Dweeb Theatre. Everything is boring as usual, especiallty Pedro's crappy solos, he sruggles desperately to sound like Vinne Moore at 5:15 and fails miserably cos he just doesnt have the chops. Boring , dunuderous, unoriginal, cant imagine what trite musicain would want to put his name to the song credits on this drivel. I agree with qommoq 100%. Petrucci seldom does anything original!He often rehashes Vinnie Moores licks. Anyone who was into Moore in the mid 80's would feel nothing when hearing JP solos. Which explains why DT fans are usually in their younger 20's. Listen to "Race with the devil on a Spanish highway" by Al Di Meola. Then "Acid Rain" by the JP. Thers a riff in it that sounds almost identical. Another example of DT coping someone else-all their cover tunes are lame too.

Actually, I've listened to both songs, but they aren't even similar. Yeah, maybe the beggining of "Acid Rain" sounds a bit like the one "Race with...", but even if Petrucci was inspired by this song, it's nothing bad, espacially because most of the song is totally different.
