Thing is, I'm not sure tasers were even being issued on a mass scale at that time. This looks like an old video from many years ago (would estimate a good decade seeing that the Vic was a 1st gen P71 cruiser). Tackling was probably the nearest thing to a less lethal taser they had back then. Either that or get shot.
