Juarez Mothers Fight Femicide (09;00) is about the mothers of the "Women of Juarez". The video does not try to pound you over the head with more information. It basically looks at the opinions of the mothers in regards to what was the final story with each case. Interviewed are mothers from all social strata but this film points out that the pain is equal and all valid emotions. The fact that the "women are poor" is pointed out by Marisela Ortiz from Nuestras Hijas de Regreso a Casa as a reason why nobody does anything about these murders.

This is a terribly underreported story. Since 1993, 400 murders and no investigations. No one has ever been arrested for these crimes. These women are left unprotected. The killers act with impunity. The Mexican government should be ashamed.

Well, some men have been arrested, its just that not one single man is responsible for all of the crimes. Its really the people of Juarez who have also given up on pressuring the police to do their job besides the fact that with whatever pressure that does happen the police botch up the investigations leading to more confusion and apathy by the people in Juarez, and not to mention abroad.

Dont even dignify that idiot with a response. Juarez is an incredible tragedy and the men of Mexico need to get over themselves and learn how to treat their ladies. I have never seen such a discriminate race in my life. Women are beautiful, creative, passionate, and have just as many qualities that men have. Just different ones. But yall need to keep your heads up and continue the fight. Stop the Juarez killings. Make the gov't of Mex responsible and accountable.

unfortunately, it seems that no matter how unbiased and subtle you try to be, you still get comments like "oh no we have to boycott sunflower seeds now" which is totally irrelevant and other comments like 'men are superior to women get over it" which illustrates the root of the problem pretty well. long story short. you cant fucking win with these people. but that don mean we cant win. i hear you and look into it and tell my friends, an maybe they'll do the same. slowly but surely.
