Actually if you read transcripts of the interview she says he was gay because he had feelings for Grindelwald because he was as powerful as him. He had gay feelings brought on by admiration, not that he actually wanted to kiss the guy or marry him. You have to look deeper. Why do any of us fall in love? Because we admire the person. So did Dumbledore.
