Does Web 2.0 Really Exist?
Uploaded by: lockergnome
Video Description:
live.pirillo.com - geeks.pirillo.com - You might remember awhile ago, I took a telemarketing call from a company that claimed to provide Web 2.0 services. I strung them along, just to mess with them. On Sept 10th, I did a remote panel session from my home. The panel discussed Web 2.0 technology and its interplay with the government.

problem with audium & trillian is that they dont support the stuff I use for IM. Which is mainly Xfire and Steam. Being able to chat with friends, even if playing a game, without having to alt-tab out to see what they write is priceless.

I know it in Beta testing (so "BakChoyStick", you can shut up too!) but this is Google we're talking about here. There are so many glitches it sucks right now! Again, Google.

I'm not one of those stupid people by the way. All I'm saying is that it isn't really ready for beta because they should have already seen every problem I've experienced when making it. Not just some little arbitrary details, no, huge flaws.

Yeah, it really does right now. But don't worry, it's Google they'll fix it pretty soon I hope.

Please stop, for your own sake. Every additional comment you leave makes you seem less intelligent. First of all, learn what a beta is. It's not a time when they should have all the bugs out, it's a time for finding those bugs. Secondly, it doesn't matter what company is developing a product, if it's in beta, that means it's not stable, period.

Dude, every comment you leave makes you seem like more and more of a jerk too you know. I know what a beta is and agree with you on that. But I also know what it is not. As you said you're supposed to FIND the bugs they can't. Well I, (and apparently hundreds of other people too) have experienced the same exact problem. This is fine as you said since it's the beta, accept for in this case when it's so painfully obvious that I can't see how anyone could miss it...

Regarding the Youtube thing, have you ever stopped to think that it could be user error? Youtube has always worked fine for me. I don't think you understand how hard it is to actually test software and websites in every possible situation. I'm a hobbyist software developer, and I can tell you firsthand that it's not very easy, especially when every person in the world has different combinations of hardware, OSs, dlls, and other software. Give it some time. It's not easy to make software.

Well I guess I could be wrong. Or maybe Google made their Beta Browser so that it doesn't work right with most people's connection. All I know is, FireFox (which I'm using right now) runs just fine and I didn't need to install any extra thing other than the Browser. But Chrome is very slow most of the time and contrary to what they said, does not work with EVERY thing on the Internet because I went to a games site and it was unable to run the game. It also freezes something terrible. That normal

Need I say this again? CHROME IS IN BETA. Firefox, on the other hand, is a stable release.
