We made this movie on India's History for an annual Diwali function at the university of Tennessee,knoxville. We present here 5000 years of India's history in 15 minutes. We have tried to mention almost all important events. Its been a great learning experience.

good, but theres a mistake, Jainism didnt evolve arnd 600 BC but only Bhuddism did. Jainism is an ancient religion like Hinduism which grew along side Hinduism in time and like Hinduism nobody knows when it started. Its disspointing that you were wrong on the history there..

The name Hindustan, chants Jai Hind mainly refers to the fact that the earliest civilizations flurished in Indus valley. Its nothing do with the ONE religion of Hinduism. India for its great History is NOT just a country of Hindus or of ONE religion HINDUISM. Its been a confluence of many great world religions like Buddism, Jainism, Islam, Sikhism etc. One should be proud of India's diversity and secularity. A single religion's name shouldnt come here.

Khalsraj, Hinduism is over 20000 BCE old. The Vedas account for this in Cosmological History. India is Hindu but is tolerant enought to allow others unlike islam, that is much younger and influenced by barbarians, who I would not say. Don't sell your soul. Sikhism has adopted the Guruh system which came from Hinduism, EVen Jesus is a Guru at that time.
