oh, and screw all those douchebags who say surgery is the "easy way out" what the hell kind of crap is that? Yeah, it's just so easy to let someone rearrange your entire anatomy! Yeah, it's just a hop, skip, and a jump into skinnyland! Us gastric bypass patients will just laugh at those who said we took the easy way out as we button and zip our size 6 pants! They can try to take away acknowledgment of your hard work, but they can't take away your skinny body! So, F all the shmucks out there.

The ones who say the bypass is the "east way out" are either skinny and never been morbidly obese or they're fat asses without the balls to have this procedure and will continue to stay fat until they die. Statistically OVER 98% of obese people who lose 100lbs will regain it within in 5 years. That is a staggering percentage. So, you most certainly did the right thing. Soon you'll be wishing you had done this sooner because you didn't realize all the fun you were missing!

i'm really concerned about losing it then gaining it back.. i've heard of that so often.. a lot of ppl are scared to do the surgery, i know i was for a very long time. then it got to the point where i knew it was my ONLY option to be out of this terrible misery i got myself into. to the ppl scared, work it out in your mind. i've only just begun.. but i'm sure in the end i will be so happy i took that leap of faith.

Recovery is the hardest phase, and then, you begin a routine for yourself and before you know it, it's just your life. Good luck with it. I am so happy that I had my surgery and do not regret it for a moment!

I had mine on June 4, 2008. I had a difficult recovery but once that phase got over, every month has been an improvement in lifestyle and health. I know it will be the same for you! Just got to stay committed and focused!

could have had mine as early as july.. but kept getting strep throat.. they had to take my tonsils out first.. to get the infection out.. been a long process just getting to the surgrey date for me.. 7th day since surgery for me.. so i'm still loopy from pain meds.. it will get better.. i trust in it.
