I think of Ron Paul like a modern day Benjamin Franklin, he was never President either and look at what he accomplished also he is the only person on money who wasn't President. I think the masses are too blind from watching 8 hours of tv a day, hopefully cable will be the first thing to go in most households when the money gets tight.

So you are saying i should vote for someone i dont believe in because my canidate can't win? what if we all voted for the person we think should be in office, maybe he would be voted in. Its like Jesse said, when you vote for someone who shares your ideals, it is not a wasted vote. When this country tanks, will you be able to say, i voted for the one person trying to fix it. McCain will destory us sooner, Ombama later, i vote for non-destruction.

actually, if you study isolationism and what not, his plan is opposite. It is when you move into countries that they will resent you and not want you there, thus making you an isolationist. Think about it. Who is friends with the bully in school? not many. But the people who dont impose their rules or bully people around have lots of friends and lots of people like that person. And we have bases in countries that aren't at war, we have over 700 bases world wide.

Land of the free, yet if you are protesting war, you can be thrown in jail. We live in a free country if you follow what the government says. He doesn't fear iran because he was around when the solvet union had 100+ nukes. So why are we afraid of some country getting one nuke? Meanwhile you are completely hindering them from developing nuclear power. Stop living in fear, how can you claim to be free when you live in fear?

It takes a wise, intelligent individual to understand Mr Paul...because only these people have a chance at seeing through the brainwashing of our media and government to condition us to allow what they do--occupying other countries! The Empire of the USA...an arrogant government that has lost it's way...ignores the Constitution and tries to delude us into thinking terrorism is not a reaction to our foreign policy. What would hurt to TRY non-intervention? It at least would save some money!
